About this project
This project, a house for a young family is situated on a large corner block, amongst an eclectic mix of housing stock. The client brief was to create a contemporary, liveable family home using stabilised rammed limestone walls and non-traditional roof forms. The house has been designed to maximise northern exposure, natural light and cross ventilation. The wing shaped roof forms define the distinct living areas and provide for soaring, airy internal spaces.
This project was the winner of the Perth Innovation in Housing Project of the Year in the HIA Awards in 2004.
