HOUSE 141
Subiaco

About this project

The design challenge was to create a contemporary house on a 521m2 site that respected the "Old Subiaco" streetscape without mimicking dwellings of the early 1900’s.

The entire site was designed as a series of intersecting pavilions and outdoor spaces that link together to facilitate a ‘seamless’ flow between indoors and outdoors.

The combination of materials, colours, forms and detailing has resulted in a tranquil environment with a spacious feel on a relatively small site.

This project was awarded an Architecture Award in the RAIA Architecture Awards residential category in 2003.
