About this project
These two contemporary "terrace" style beach houses are situated on adjacent 8 metre wide sites, with spectacular ocean views. The unique project was designed to accommodate a family with university-aged children – the parents in the west side and the children in the east side. The houses were to incorporate some connection with each other now, yet able to ultimately be completely separated as individual green titled houses. The project represents a creative and sustainable solution to the age-old dilemma facing empty nesters left with a large family home in a terrific location.
